privacy

Written from what this site actually does, not from a template. It's a small film site — there is no ad network and no third-party tracker anywhere on it.

If you join the interest list

We store the email address you type, which of the three levels you picked, and the city, country and zip or postcode you choose to give. Those fields are optional except the email.

We use them for one thing: emailing you about this film — the trailer, the release, and screenings near you. We don't sell or share the list.

If you request the DVD

We store your first and last name, ZIP code, email address, the phone number and note you choose to add, and whether you ticked the mailing-list box. The phone number and note are optional.

We use them only to arrange getting the case to you. If you tick the mailing-list box, your email is also added to the interest list described above.

Approximate location

When a page loads, our hosting network tells us a rough country, region and city based on where the request entered the internet. It is approximate — usually the nearest large city — and never precise coordinates. We use it to see which cities want a screening.

Your IP address is never stored. It's converted into a one-way scrambled value combined with a code that changes daily, which lets us tell repeat visits apart within a day and nothing more.

Page visits

We record which page was viewed, when, the approximate location above, the website that sent you (its domain only), and any referral code in the link. That's the whole record.

Referral codes

A link like /?ref=name stores that code with your visit and with your signup if you join, so we know which friend or ambassador brought you.

Cookies

No advertising or analytics cookies. The site keeps two small notes in your own browser: whether you've dismissed the notice at the bottom, and any referral code for the length of your visit. Signing in to the private admin area stores a session, but that's only for the film's team.

Who can see it

Only the film's team. Signups and visit records are locked so that only the owner account can read them; the public page can only ever see a total count and the published screening dates.

How long we keep it

Signups stay until you ask to be removed or until the film's release campaign ends, whichever comes first. Visit records are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted.

Getting removed

Reply to any email we send you, or write to the address on the film's social accounts, and we'll delete your signup and confirm it. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold on you.
